Warmer

It’s getting nice outside!

today I ran the 2.7 mile loop by my house for the first time this year. It was bad, but in a good way!

I started running season by running the Everybody’s Irish 5K. I ran all winter, but only 1 mile at a time because it was cold and I was really busy with work. So at the 5K, I ran good for about a mile. Then I ran/walked the last 2.1 miles…. I averaged 3.75 mph. Yuck!

That will no doubt get better once I learn how to breathe and can run longer. I’ve always been fine with distance (when it’s not the first long run of the year). This year, once I get my legs back so I can run indefinitely again, for the first time ever, I’m going to work on speed.
